Final night in Praha.

After a long day of finals, visiting friends and packing I headed out with the lovely members of CEECE for our final night together.

Eric and Natasha took us to dinner and a cruise on the Vltava.  We were greeted on the boat with a round of shots of the traditional Becherovka; then we enjoyed a delicious buffet-style dinner.  It was a chilly night, but we enjoyed the city lights at night despite the cold.

Towards the end of the ride, we had to stop as a classical concert on the river finished up and surprised us with a fireworks show!  It was such a good way to end this trip =)

Blessings.

I have realized that during my time here in Prague, God has blessed me with some incredible people.  My time these past four months would not have been the same with out Irenka, the Millers and Liz.  They were so welcoming of me and opened their hearts and home to me.

I never expected to make form such amazing relationships in just a few months!  They were truly amazing!

Today is my last day here in Prague and my plan was to finish up a paper that is due next week.  I went over to the Miller's to say goodbye this afternoon and ended up just spending a few hours there.  My paper can wait....

Saying goodbye is never easy, but when I think of what a great time this past semester has been, it makes it a little easier.  I have memories and pictures that will remind me of what God blessed me with, and I couldn't be more thankful =)

It's not goodbye, just see ya later.

I have spent the last two nights at Irenka's and just about most of the week.  We both knew that I was leaving soon and we were going to have to say our farewell's.   We had such a fun time watching gossip girl, having face masks, cooking and just talking =)

I couldn't have asked for a better friend when I came here, and I am so blessed to have met her.  Thankfully, she will be back in the states in August and we will get to see each other again!

I love her so much!!
Studying hard =)

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, IRENKA!

Musical "Recording" Fountain.

Our program, CEECE, decided to take us on one last small excursion together.  I guess they found out that to our understanding, we thought they were paying for more things.  There idea was this musical fountain...interesting right?  So we checked out the website and this is what we found...
Looks cool... fountains, colored lights, live orchestra, very dramatic....
Well, after a long metro ride, three tram stops, and a walk through a deserted area of town we arrive at a worn down, old outdoor stadium-like place.  We were early.  But we see the fountains, we see the stage.  And then it begins... but there is no orchestra, just a music recording =)  While the colored fountains were pretty, we all just wanted to sleep or pee.  Mainly pee.

At the train station where, Everything Is Illuminated was filmed.

The fountains were really pretty, so I don't mean to complain.  I just love CEECE, at least it was better than Vienna Woods =)

Paddle boating on the Vltava.

I woke up early Saturday morning and headed out to one of Prague's flea markets to do some exploring.  It was GIGANTIC.  Literally acres of stand after stand of junk.  I searched through old antiques, clothes, electrical odds and ends and just about anything else you can think of and found a few steals!

I met Kirby later in the afternoon and we went paddle boating on the Vltava!  We had the boat for an hour and we laid back and took it easy on the beautiful afternoon!

ZOO.

So yesterday (Friday), Devon, Jake, Donnie, Christine and I went to the zoo!  I had been wanting to go for awhile, but we were waiting for the weather to be nice.  Well it was a beautiful day and we had such a great time.

This post is mainly going to be pictures, but here are my thoughts on the day...

I love the zoo.  Bats are terrifying, especially when they are swarming around my head in the dark. Goats love me and I love them.  Peacocks run wild.  Ducks live the life.  Monkeys are my new favorite animals, I could have watched them all day.  The gorillas are GIGANTIC.  Feeding time at the zoo is the best.  What is a tapir?  The giraffes have their own savanna.  Sloths are great.  I just LOVE the zoo.

The Prague Zoo is the 7th best in the world!

So excited as we waited in the metro.
